Chapter 33: Outburst
The little one opened her hazy, oversized eyes and glanced around in confusion. Where was this?
“Stinky Sack—hic—where is this? Hic—why did you bring me here?” Lingwei’s little mouth kept moving nonstop.
Xuanyuan Hongyu watched those delicate lips opening and closing, and his gaze suddenly deepened. Following the impulse of his heart, he lowered his head and bit down on her rosy lips. Still so delicious.
Zhan Tai Lingwei was utterly stunned. Why was this pervert biting her again? Her flesh was not even tasty!
“Sir…” The waiter’s eyes nearly popped out of his head. Good heavens, this young master actually had a taste for children! How could he bring himself to bite such a tiny child? Looking at the little one in the youth’s arms, the waiter could not help feeling deeply sympathetic.
Xuanyuan Hongyu had no idea that the waiter’s thoughts had gone so wildly astray. He was merely acting according to his own desires: if he wanted something, he would do everything in his power to obtain it. If he could not have it, he would use every trick at his disposal. As long as the result was satisfactory, nothing else mattered.
Reluctantly, he withdrew from the little one’s lips. Seeing the tiny thing’s face flushed crimson, his mood improved immensely. She looked like a bright red apple—utterly delectable.
“Waiter, have all the dishes been served?” Xuanyuan Hongyu glared displeasedly at the idiot who had been staring at him so intently that he had forgotten to move.
What a dreadful establishment. How could they stare so rudely at their guests?
“Ahem.” The waiter finally came to his senses, hurriedly bowed, and apologized. “Sir, I shall bring the dishes at once.”
With that, he scurried away.
Once outside the private room, the waiter patted his chest. Good heavens, he had nearly lost his life! The wealthy were truly burdened with far too many strange eccentricities. He had almost caused a catastrophe.
Having learned his lesson, the waiter delivered the dishes to the private room one by one. During the process, he dared not speak again, nor even look at the guests, for fear that the wealthy young master might become displeased and throw him out. If he offended such a man, where would he find another place that paid so well?
Xuanyuan Hongyu frowned, wondering if he had chosen the wrong place. Why was this waiter moving so slowly? Why did it take him so long to serve a few dishes?
“Waiter, hurry up with the food!”
The waiter shuddered all over. He had suffered an injustice but dared not voice it. “Sir, please forgive me. This is already the fastest I can manage.”
He bowed respectfully, but his voice trembled uncontrollably. What was he to do? It seemed he had somehow offended the young master again.
“Enough nonsense! Go do your job!”
Xuanyuan Hongyu had heard the little one’s stomach rumbling. She could not stand being hungry.
Lingwei could not bear to watch any longer. “Stinky Sack, he is having a hard enough time already. What would it hurt to wait a little?” Had he not noticed that the waiter’s head was practically shrinking into his belt?
“Get lost!”
Xuanyuan Hongyu grew even angrier at her words. Why did this little girl have so much concern for other people’s lives? She should think only of him!
The little one let out an indignant snort and turned her head away.
“Little thing, do not provoke me. It will do you no good.”
The youth could not help wanting to discipline the disobedient girl.
I will not pay attention to you! I absolutely will not! If you want to go mad, then go mad by yourself.
Holding a pair of white jade chopsticks, Lingwei listlessly picked at the dishes before her. They were awful.
Xuanyuan Hongyu watched her unconcerned expression, then saw how she took only an occasional bite. His mood immediately darkened. Why was that girl making such a face?
Curious, he picked up a green vegetable that looked perfect in color, aroma, and flavor. Its fresh, emerald hue suggested that it ought to taste good.
He put it into his mouth and bit down.
Pfft! What was this? How could it be so disgusting? It tasted worse than grass!
Enraged, he slammed his palm onto the redwood round table. Creaks, cracks, and splintering sounds erupted all at once. The waiter stationed outside the door immediately rushed in.
Good heavens, what had happened? How had things come to this?
The waiter looked at Xuanyuan Hongyu as though he were about to cry, unable even to form a complete sentence. “Sir, you… this is…”
His body trembled like a sieve. This young master clearly was not someone one could afford to offend. If he flew into a rage and killed him, that was entirely possible.
