From a distance, Ying Yuwei spotted An Yu standing far off, muttering something under his breath.
Out of the corner of his eye, An Yu caught sight of Ying Yuwei’s figure and immediately trotted over, thrusting a book into her hands. With earnest sincerity, he said, “Master, I’ve already memorized it.”
Ying Yuwei had barely approached when An Yu shoved the book at her and then confidently declared he had memorized it. Her eyes brimmed with disbelief and suspicion as she tentatively asked, “The whole book memorized? And it hasn’t even been a full day?”
She remembered spending an entire week memorizing the same book herself. She was certain An Yu couldn’t have finished it in less than a day, yet it seemed to be only half a day at most.
Sensing Ying Yuwei’s doubt, An Yu immediately began reciting the contents of the book in a continuous stream. The more Ying Yuwei listened, the deeper her frown grew, for An Yu was not reciting nonsense—every word was correct.
Upstairs in dorm room 204, the three roommates were all pressed against the window, straining to hear the conversation downstairs as if that would somehow make it clearer.
Xia Yu turned sideways, pressing her ear to the railing. “Why is An Yu the only one talking? Such a long monologue—could he be confessing his feelings?”
“Could be!” Fang Zhi Zhi nodded emphatically. They all agreed that Ying Yuwei and An Yu must share a special bond.
Of course, Ying Yuwei, who was downstairs listening to An Yu’s recital, remained unaware of their speculation. As An Yu’s recital sped up, her astonishment became increasingly obvious.
When the last word faded, An Yu looked at Ying Yuwei with a delighted expression. “How was it, Master?”
He looked just like a little dog waiting for its owner’s praise. Ying Yuwei suspected if he had a tail, it would be wagging straight up in the air by now.
She waved her hand at An Yu, forcing a calm tone. “No, you’re still too slow. This was actually a test I gave you. If you want to learn from me, you must memorize the book within an hour and come to me. But half a day has already passed, and your talent isn’t enough.”
With that, Ying Yuwei turned to leave, but An Yu quickly grabbed her wrist, his voice suddenly tinged with pleading: “I can do anything. Whenever you go out, take me with you—I can do anything!” By the end, his tone was filled with supplication.
Ying Yuwei rubbed her brow in confusion. She had never dealt with this kind of persistence before. If some restless spirit clung to her like this, she would have simply thrown a handful of ancient bronze coins at it to teach it a lesson.
But the person holding her wrist now spoke earnestly, his brows lowered. Though nearly six feet tall, his presence was more pitiable than imposing.
Unable to resist, Ying Yuwei nodded and agreed to An Yu’s request. Perhaps after trailing her twice and suffering some hardship, he might give up on this idea.

The top priority was to reach that tomb quickly.
Ying Yuwei gently brushed off An Yu’s hand from her wrist. “You go back to your dorm and pack your things. We’ll meet here in half an hour.”
“Where to?” An Yu asked, a hint of confusion in his eyes.
Ying Yuwei simply replied, “To dig up a grave.”
Half an hour later, An Yu was waiting downstairs, along with his family’s driver. As soon as Ying Yuwei arrived, An Yu snatched the suitcase from her hand and put it into the trunk, then opened the rear door for her.
This was Ying Yuwei’s first time sitting in a real leather-upholstered car. As soon as she sat down, she felt herself sink into the seat. She couldn’t help but wonder—is this what life is like for the wealthy?
An Yu got into the car behind her and sat close beside her. He turned his head to look at Ying Yuwei.
“I’ve already bought the plane tickets to Rainbow Sky.”
“Hm?” Ying Yuwei murmured, puzzled. “Plane tickets? How did you know we were going to Rainbow Sky?”
An Yu pulled out his phone, which displayed the private message Ying Yuwei had seen that day. “Didn’t you say we were going to dig up a grave?”
Ying Yuwei couldn’t help but give An Yu a mental thumbs-up.
Ying Yuwei had never flown before. She had always followed closely behind An Yu, and found that she didn’t even have to stand in line; she smoothly boarded the plane without obstruction.
When she saw a well-proportioned, beautiful flight attendant crouching beside her, warmly addressing her as “Dear First Class Passenger,” it finally dawned on her. Her eyes filled with some fear as she looked at An Yu sitting next to her.
“You bought first-class tickets? I don’t have money to pay you back.”
An Yu’s lips curved slightly. He asked the flight attendant for a glass of orange juice, then turned to her and said, “Consider it your labor fee for bringing me along.” Is labor fee really this easy to earn nowadays? Ying Yuwei felt uneasy all the same.
Before boarding, An Yu had already sent their flight information to the person on the other end.

Upon landing, An Yu and Ying Yuwei immediately spotted the person who seemed to be there to pick them up.
At the airport’s arrival gate, a table was set up, surrounded by a crowd. An elderly man dressed in a gray-black Taoist robe sat in the center, with people jostling to get in front of him.
“Master Liu! Master! Please help me with a reading!” a man pushed forward earnestly, trying to get close but was elbowed back by someone standing ahead. “What are you shoving for? Don’t you know how to queue?”
The man staggered backward, nearly falling. Quick as a flash, An Yu stepped forward and firmly pressed his palm against the man's back. “Careful!”
The man turned back and gratefully glanced at An Yu. “Thank you, young man.”
Ying Yuwei looked at the elderly man surrounded by the crowd and asked, “Brother, who is this? Why is everyone gathered around him?”
At that moment, a man standing beside Ying Yuwei heard her question and chuckled aloud, “You guys must be from out of town, since you don’t even know Master Liu.”
The man who had almost been pushed was named Xiao En. He introduced the elderly man encircled by the crowd: “Master Liu is a famous master in Rainbow Sky. He only does one reading a month, and it’s worth a fortune.” Saying this, he raised the paper in his hand and tried to push back into the crowd.
Ying Yuwei stepped forward and lightly tapped the man who was about to shove his way in, speaking with some inquiry, “Brother, I know a bit about Feng Shui. If you don’t mind, I can take a look for you.”
Xiao En glanced at the crowded throng, then at Ying Yuwei standing nearby. He handed her the paper with the birth details written on it.
Someone nearby overheard Ying Yuwei’s words and couldn’t help but loudly mock, “Master Liu is still sitting there, yet someone dares to claim they understand fortune-telling and Feng Shui. What a fool’s errand!”
His voice carried loudly, drawing the attention of everyone nearby. All eyes turned to Ying Yuwei.
