Zhou Yanyan pointed at Duan Wuhen.
“Yueyue, do you know him?”
“Oh, he’s my distant cousin. He transferred to our school.”
Zhou Yanyan suddenly understood and glanced at Duan Wuhen.
“So that’s how it is. I thought he was a scammer.”
“I still need to take him to register. I’m off now, goodbye!”
Zhou Yanyan waved her hand.
“Bye!”
Yan Xiyue tugged on Duan Wuhen’s sleeve, and only after they were out of sight of the two girls did she reluctantly let go.
“Hey, who told you to come to my school?”
Duan Wuhen shrugged.
“Who else but your dad begged me to come.”
“Fine, I don’t care where you want to go. After I take you to register, I hope I never see you again.”
Duan Wuhen smirked wickedly and followed behind Yan Xiyue.

Principal’s Office.

Zhang Chengguo leisurely savored the Dahongpao tea in his mouth, which he had gone through great trouble to obtain.
Normally, he wouldn’t indulge himself, but today, to entertain guests, he had specially brought it out.

Knock knock knock—
“Please come in!”
“Principal, I’ve brought him!”
“Oh, it’s Xiyue. Please have a seat.”
Seeing this wealthy benefactor, Zhang Chengguo dared not put on any airs.
“Xiyue, what brings you here?”
Yan Xiyue pointed at Duan Wuhen and impatiently said a few words.
“My dad asked me to bring this guy to register!”
Upon hearing this, Zhang Chengguo turned to look at Duan Wuhen with a smile.
“So that’s the case. Student, if I remember correctly, your name is Duan Wuhen! Come, have some tea first.”
He instructed his assistant to hand the pre-brewed tea to Duan Wuhen.
Duan Wuhen took a sip and showed a strange expression.
“Hmm? Dahongpao from the mother tree?”
Zhang Chengguo’s face showed surprise as he tactfully inquired,
“Wow? This student actually recognized it as Dahongpao from the mother tree. Have you had it before?”
Duan Wuhen nodded slightly.
“Yes, I have.”
Zhang Chengguo truly suppressed his inner disdain this time. To obtain Dahongpao from the mother tree was no small feat; only titans could do so.
“So, you’re here to register, right? No problem, just a signature!”
Zhang Chengguo took out a folder from the drawer and signed his name.
“By the way, which major are you enrolling in?”
Duan Wuhen glanced at Yan Xiyue.
Sensing his gaze, the clever Yan Xiyue knew exactly that Duan Wuhen planned to enroll in the same major as her.

So Yan Xiyue shook her head vigorously, her eyes filled with both threat and plea.
Duan Wuhen’s lips curled into a sly smile, then he spoke.
“Then I’ll take the same major as Yan.”
Zhang Chengguo looked up in surprise and glanced between the two.
So the daughter of Yan Mingjun had caught the eye of this young master—looks like the Yan family is about to soar.
Seeing Zhang Chengguo’s knowing expression, Yan Xiyue was furious.
This scoundrel!
Watching the principal finish filling out the paperwork, Yan Xiyue realized nothing could be changed.
“If there’s nothing else, you can start classes tomorrow. I’ll arrange your accommodation shortly.”
Duan Wuhen nodded with satisfaction. Under Yan Xiyue’s angry gaze, he hummed a tune as he left the office.
Yan Xiyue still held a sliver of hope.
“Principal, is it really impossible to change?”
“No, there’s only one form, and I’ve already signed and stamped it.”

…………………………

Hancheng University
Dormitory Building 13
Room 4-101

Duan Wuhen opened the door and stepped in, looking at the empty bed.
Looks like this will be his bed. The other three roommates weren’t around, so he decided to lay out his bedding first; otherwise, he’d have to sleep elsewhere tonight.
After some fumbling, Duan Wuhen lay down and quickly fell asleep.
He hadn’t slept well since coming down the mountain.

In the evening, he heard footsteps outside the dormitory and then the sound of a key turning in the lock.
Duan Wuhen instantly woke up; his three roommates must have arrived.
The dorm door opened, followed by their voices.
“Hey, the counselor said our class has a new student, and he’s in our dorm. Aren’t you curious?”
“What’s there to be curious about? Probably just another single like us. Didn’t Yaozi find a partner right after moving out of our dorm?”
“Yeah, we’re known across campus as the single dorm.”
“Hey! I’m not single—I have a wife.”
Suddenly, a voice startled the group.
One of them turned on the light and saw a handsome young man sitting on the previously empty bed.
Indeed, it was Duan Wuhen.
“Wow, brother, welcome to 4-101. I’m Zhao Yuan.”
“I’m Gao Fan. Welcome, welcome.”
“I’m Wang Kai, but you can call me Kaizi.”
“Hello, I’m Duan Wuhen. Please take care of me.”
“No problem at all. Ask us anything!”
The three gathered around Duan Wuhen’s bed, sizing him up.
Zhao Yuan touched his chin thoughtfully.
“You just said you have a wife—is that true?”
Duan Wuhen nodded, and the three immediately became excited.

“Heavens! Have you finally seen us? Have you sent someone to rescue us single dogs?”
“……”
Duan Wuhen watched their exaggerated wails, torn between amusement and disbelief.
“What are you guys doing?”
Zhao Yuan patted Duan Wuhen’s shoulder and explained everything.
“Brother, you don’t know, our dorm…”
“So you came to our dorm to save us single dogs! The marital affairs of the brothers are entrusted to you. Please take care of it.”
The three pleaded pitifully.

Ding dong—
A notification sounded on Duan Wuhen’s phone. He opened it and saw a voice message from Yan Xiyue on WeChat.
He clicked play, and Yan Xiyue’s clear, melodious voice came through:
“Are you free tonight?”
Since Duan Wuhen had only recently started using his phone, the loudspeaker playback was overheard by the three roommates.
They were about to get busy with their own things but were drawn in by Yan Xiyue’s voice message.
Duan Wuhen awkwardly scratched his head.
“Yeah, I’m free, dear wife.”
This sentence exploded like a bomb among the roommates.
Zhao Yuan’s eyes sparkled.
“Bro, teach us how to pick up girls.”
Duan Wuhen smiled helplessly.
“Honestly, I don’t really get it either.”

Just then, his phone rang again.
This time it wasn’t a voice message but an unknown caller.
“Hello.”
“Duan Wuhen, you rogue, you scoundrel.” Yan Xiyue’s frustrated voice came through the phone.
Earlier, her father had asked her to invite Duan Wuhen over for dinner to express gratitude.
Too lazy to type, she sent a voice message.
Unexpectedly, Duan Wuhen replied with a voice message too.
Yan Xiyue now regretted it deeply—knowing Duan Wuhen was a scoundrel, she had foolishly pressed play.
Worse, her roommates had all heard it.
Now, six pairs of eyes were staring at her, making her skin crawl.
She knew that unless she explained clearly, news of her having a boyfriend would spread like wildfire across the school.
So she called him back and scolded him loudly.
But to the others, it sounded like playful flirting.
“I gotta go now. My wife needs me.”
After hanging up, Duan Wuhen hurried out of the dorm, leaving the three roommates staring at each other in disbelief.
