Chapter 172: Live Broadcast
Jiang Yun had no idea how the young man was doing; nowadays, Jiang Yun spent every day idling away like a salted fish.
"Ah, no need to film movies, no need to record variety shows. Life is simply wonderful!" Jiang Yun lay stretched out on Li Mengya's sofa, feeling too lazy even to eat.
"Jiang Yun, you cannot keep going on like this. You need to get busy!" Li Mengya demanded, standing with her hands on her hips.
"Busy with what? Come here! Let your master give you a kiss!"
"Give your master a kiss!"
"Aren't you my master? You are indeed the master!"
"I..." Li Mengya was left speechless.
Taking advantage of his recent free time, Jiang Yun decided to get up and go home for a visit.
After packing his things, Jiang Yun announced, "I am going home for two days, so I won't be able to accompany you!"
"Jiang Yun..."
"What is it?"
"Why don't I go back with you?" Li Mengya looked at him nervously.
"This..."
"Is that not allowed?"
"No, not at all." Jiang Yun snapped back to reality. "Yes, absolutely allowed!"
With that, the two of them simply packed a few essentials, went downstairs, hailed a taxi, and headed toward the high-speed railway station.
Upon arriving at the station, Jiang Yun bought two tickets, and they sat in the waiting hall, eagerly awaiting ticket inspection.
Half an hour later, boarding began. Jiang Yun and Li Mengya had their tickets checked and boarded the high-speed train.
Ten minutes later, the train departed, and Jiang Yun promptly fell fast asleep.
Li Mengya rolled her eyes. "He really is like a pig!"
Two hours later, they got off the train.
Arriving in Jiangnan, Jiang Yun took out his phone to call a car.
"Don't bother calling a car. Someone will be here to pick us up in a moment!"
"Who?" Jiang Yun asked.
"You'll see soon enough!"
About twenty minutes later, a Jaguar pulled up right in front of them.
The car window rolled down.
"Wang Fengwan?"
"What kind of expression is that?" Wang Fengwan demanded angrily. "Are you really that reluctant to see me?"
Jiang Yun rubbed his nose. "Not at all!"
"Get in the car already!" Li Mengya gave Jiang Yun a light slap on the back.
The two of them got into the car.
"Address!"
"Yulin Town!"
Wang Fengwan typed Yulin Town into the navigation system and drove Jiang Yun and Li Mengya away.
Upon reaching Yulin Town, Jiang Yun directed Wang Fengwan to park right in front of a noodle shop.
Wang Fengwan parked the vehicle, and Jiang Yun and Li Mengya stepped out.
"What? Aren't you going to invite me inside for a sit-down?" Wang Fengwan asked with a slight curve of her lips.
"Feel free!" Jiang Yun dropped those two words and led Li Mengya inside.
Wang Fengwan rolled her eyes in exasperation.
After a moment's thought, she opened her door and followed them out.
The three of them entered the noodle shop.
Jiang Jun was busy working. Jiang Jun and Shen Hua divided the labor, with one cooking in the back kitchen and the other acting as a server.
"Please take a seat, everyone!"
"Dad!" Jiang Yun called out to Jiang Jun.
Jiang Jun froze for a second before snapping back to reality, his face lighting up with boundless joy. "Son, why are you back?"
"I had some free time, so I came back to take a look!" Jiang Yun replied.
"Shen Hua! Come quick and see who's back!" Jiang Jun shouted toward the back kitchen.
Wearing an apron, Shen Hua walked out of the kitchen and immediately spotted Jiang Yun, who had just removed his mask.
"Son!" Shen Hua hurried over to Jiang Yun.
"Hehehe!" Jiang Yun wore a gentle smile.
"Hello, Auntie!" Li Mengya and Wang Fengwan greeted her in unison.
Shen Hua was pleasantly surprised; she hadn't expected Jiang Yun to return, let alone bring two companions. "And these two are...?"
"They are both my friends. This one is Li Mengya, and that one is Wang Fengwan!" Jiang Yun introduced them.
"Oh, oh! Please, sit down!" Shen Hua felt a bit nervous, noticing how close the two young women seemed to be with Jiang Yun.
"Pfft!" Wang Fengwan chuckled. "Auntie, you look so nervous!"
"Hehehe!" Shen Hua laughed awkwardly.
A customer walked into the noodle shop. "Boss, bowl of noodles, please!"
Shen Hua quickly stood up. "I'm so sorry, but we're closed today. We aren't doing business!"
"Oh, all right then!"
After the last customer departed, Shen Hua hung up a "Closed" sign.
"Son, and Mengya, Fengwan, what would you like to eat? I'll go make it!"
"Auntie, anything is fine!" Wang Fengwan said.
"Very well then!"
Shen Hua set to work, with Jiang Jun assisting her.
That evening, Wang Fengwan, Li Mengya, Jiang Yun, Shen Hua, and Jiang Jun sat around the table together for dinner.
"Mengya, Fengwan, try this pickled cabbage and fish tofu." Using a clean pair of chopsticks, Shen Hua placed some food into Li Mengya and Wang Fengwan's bowls.
"Thank you, Auntie!"
"Son, how many days do you plan to stay this time?" Shen Hua asked.
"About two days!" Jiang Yun answered.
"That's wonderful. You can take us shopping these next two days!" Shen Hua said.
"Yay!" Li Mengya cheered excitedly.
"Ring ring ring!" Jiang Yun's phone rang.
Picking up his phone, Jiang Yun saw that the call was from Li Lulu.
Jiang Yun pressed answer. "Hello, what is it?"
"Boss, a live-streaming platform wants to invite you to join them. Do you agree or refuse?" Li Lulu asked.
Jiang Yun thought about it for a moment. Since he happened to have nothing else to do, he said, "Let's agree!"
"Got it, I'll reply to them right now!" Li Lulu hung up the phone.
A short while later, Li Lulu called back. "Hello, Boss, I've already given them our answer. Can you do a live stream tonight?"
"Sure!" Jiang Yun replied.
"Oh, all right then. I'll send you the detailed information along with the contact number of the person in charge."
"Okay!"
Jiang Yun hung up the phone.
"Son, what are you busy with? Everyone's eating dinner!" Shen Hua said.
"It's nothing, just a minor matter!" Jiang Yun said. "I'm full, you all go ahead and eat!"
"Aren't you going to eat a bit more?" Wang Fengwan asked.
"No, I'm good!"
"All right then!" Shen Hua nodded.
Jiang Yun contacted the person in charge, signed an electronic contract, registered an account, and started live-streaming with his phone.
Seeing only a handful of viewers in his broadcast room, Jiang Yun frowned slightly.
Meanwhile, across the entire platform, whenever someone was live-streaming, a banner suddenly popped up across their broadcast room: "Welcome Jiang Yun to our Meijun Live!"
"What? Jiang Yun joined Meijun Live?!"
"Woohoo! I get to watch old dog Jiang Yun live-stream!"
"Brothers, charge!"
Instantly, countless netizens flooded into Jiang Yun's live broadcast room, pushing the viewer count past fifty thousand in no time.
"Old irons, hello everyone!" Jiang Yun looked into the camera, greeting the screen.
"Oh ho! Where is old dog Jiang Yun's background?"
"To answer my big brother's question, I'm at my own home, my old countryside home!" Jiang Yun said.
"Old dog Jiang Yun, when are you going to sing a new song? It's been ages since we heard you sing anything new!"
"To answer 'Remaining Life with You', I will be singing new songs in a short while!"
"Jiang Yun!!!" Right as Jiang Yun was enjoying his live stream in his room, Shen Hua's voice echoed from outside.
Jiang Yun stepped out of his room. "What's wrong?"
"Son, who on earth are you mumbling to with all that religious-sounding chatter?" Shen Hua asked.
Jiang Yun rolled his eyes. "I'm live-streaming!"
"Jiang Yun, when did you start getting into this sort of thing?" Li Mengya asked.
"Just a moment ago!" Jiang Yun replied.
Bullet comments began scrolling furiously across Jiang Yun's live stream: "Oh ho! Who is old dog Jiang Yun talking to? Why does that voice sound so familiar?"
Jiang Yun glanced at the screen, and groaned inwardly. Oh no! The entire conversation just now had been broadcasted live to everyone!
