Turning on the computer, he created a new book and began serializing 'New Meteor, Butterfly, Sword.'
The new book review was instantly approved.
After publishing the new book, Jiang Yun was about to relax when another matter interrupted him.
That matter was the casting issue for 'Battle Horses Sky.'
With the serialization platform for 'Battle Horses Sky,' Jiang Yun easily secured a platinum contract.
The clicks on 'Battle Horses Sky' surpassed one hundred million, with more than five hundred alliance leaders alone. It had become a complete sensation, the kind that made someone truly famous.
The television adaptation of 'Battle Horses Sky' was already scheduled.
"Ring ring ring!"
Jiang Yun answered the phone, "Hello?"
"Hey, Three Fish."
"What's up?"
"Tomorrow at nine in the morning, the company is hosting a book signing for you. Come early to the Shanghai Library!"
Jiang Yun was surprised, "Why so sudden?"
"Not really sudden. We notified you a couple of days ago. I went traveling and forgot! Only remembered today!"
"Damn!" Jiang Yun's forehead bore dark lines.
Suppressing the urge to scold, Jiang Yun replied, "Alright, got it!"
"Good, that's settled then!"
Jiang Yun opened the 'Battle Horses Sky' backend and posted an update.
"Tomorrow at nine in the morning, Shanghai Library, book signing event. Everyone is welcome to attend."
"Beep!"
No sooner had he posted the update than comments appeared.
"So far, I'm not in Shanghai, can't make it!"
"I'm in Shanghai, anyone above want me to buy a copy for you?"
"Sure, sure, buy me a set, I'll pay you!"
Jiang Yun looked at the comments and replied, "Limit one set per person!"
He closed the author backend. Regardless of it being daytime, Jiang Yun went straight to bed and fell into a deep sleep.
"Knock knock knock!"
Jiang Yun slept soundly, completely oblivious to the knocking.
Outside, Li Lulu simply opened the door.
She walked to the bedside, "Boss? Boss, stop sleeping, get up and eat something before you sleep again!"
"Boss?"
"Hmm? What is it?" Jiang Yun mumbled sleepily.
"Get up and eat something before you go back to sleep!"
"What time is it?"
"Ten thirty, ten thirty at night!"
"Oh," Jiang Yun said, and drifted off again.
Li Lulu saw Jiang Yun had quieted down and shook her head, leaving the room.
Unexpectedly, Jiang Yun woke up hungry in the middle of the night.
He left his room and rummaged through the kitchen.
Bent over, Jiang Yun checked the fridge for anything edible, only to find it cleaner than his own face.
"This Li Lulu, I’ll have to dock her pay. The house is out of supplies and she didn’t restock."
After searching for a while, Jiang Yun finally found two packs of instant noodles and a bag of sliced bread.
He boiled water and waited quietly.
Meanwhile, he finished the bread.
"Wuhu, finally ready!"
Jiang Yun eagerly soaked the noodles.
After waiting two minutes, he began eating hungrily.
Satisfied, he returned to his room and continued sleeping.
Early the next morning, Jiang Yun got up.
"Boss, should I take you to Shanghai Stadium?"
"Yes!"
Jiang Yun put on a mask, checked his reflection, and found he was unrecognizable. He nodded in satisfaction.
"Huh? Where are the instant noodles and bread I left here?"
Li Lulu’s voice came from the kitchen.
Jiang Yun replied loudly, "I ate the noodles and bread!"
"You ate them?" Li Lulu came over. "Boss, those were expired. I was about to throw them away—they weren't edible!"
"What? Not edible?" Jiang Yun was dumbfounded.
"Never mind, you ate them, it's not fatal."
Jiang Yun was speechless. Although it wasn't fatal, he still felt uneasy.
The two went to the garage. Li Lulu opened the car door and they got in.
The car started and sped off.
Shanghai Library.
First floor lobby.
Jiang Yun sat behind a table, surrounded by hundreds of book sets.
A man strode over energetically, "Three Fish, you must be Three Fish, right?"
Jiang Yun, wearing mask and sunglasses, looked at the man dressed like a programmer and nodded.
"Three Fish, I’m Zhang Yi, your editor!"
Jiang Yun nodded again, saying nothing.
Zhang Yi felt a bit awkward—his enthusiastic greeting met with such indifference.
"Editor Zhang, please don't mind. I have a cold and don't want to infect you!"
Zhang Yi touched his nose, "Oh, that's how it is!"
"Grrrr—"
Beneath the mask, Jiang Yun's face twisted.
Holding his stomach, Jiang Yun said, "Editor Zhang, I need to use the restroom. When the signing starts, please help me sign for a bit!"
Without waiting for Zhang Yi's response, Jiang Yun dashed off.
Zhang Yi was stunned, "A cold and diarrhea—quite a serious illness! I must let everyone know how dedicated Three Fish is."
Jiang Yun ran to the restroom, only to find every stall occupied.
He steeled himself and walked toward the women's restroom.
Just as he was about to enter, Jiang Yun changed his mind.
He slowly withdrew his foot.
Because he used his clear logic skill, which allowed him to analyze everything methodically and act rationally. This skill was practically a bug, almost like foresight.
A man left the men's restroom, and Jiang Yun was relieved he hadn’t gone into the women's.
Shanghai Library first floor lobby.
"Are you Three Fish? I really love your books!"
Zhang Yi touched his nose, "I'm not Three Fish, I'm his editor. He went to the restroom!"
"Three Fish, don't be modest!"
"I'm really not!"
"Then why are you sitting here signing?"
"Well..."
