Chapter 164: Recommendation for the Permanent Blacklisting of Su Bai

Apart from the actions at the hot pot restaurant and the police station, "fan clubs" organizing street protests to demand justice for Su Bai had also made their presence felt.

For a moment, the entire internet was overrun by overwhelming waves of fans seeking justice for Su Bai. Almost all self-media outlets were talking about this incident.

Some people were concerned about how Su Bai was doing and whether his injuries were serious. Others were wondering if someone within the police force was colluding with certain individuals to deliberately avoid tracking down the perpetrator.

Gradually, the momentum on the internet grew larger and larger. Comments demanding justice for Su Bai began to appear in the comment sections of almost every video. Many netizens also spontaneously tipped bean coins to the self-media videos that spoke up for Su Bai, wanting to keep the issue of Su Bai being harmed constantly trending.

From this incident, one could see just how popular Su Bai truly was.

However, after a self-media account named Xiaochuan Entertainment posted a statement, public opinion on the internet changed completely.

The content of Xiaochuan Entertainment's post was as follows:

Regarding the incident where popular singer Su Bai had hot pot base splashed on him, I am also deeply saddened. I despise the actions of lawless individuals who harmed the spokesperson of our Forbidden City cultural promotion. There is even doubt now as to whether he will be able to attend the promotional event scheduled a month from now.

I can also understand the feelings of the vast number of fans seeking justice for Su Bai. But the things that Su Bai's fans have done recently have simply shattered my worldview!

Is this something that a normal fan group should do?

First, they went to Xue Qianqian's hot pot restaurant and smashed the place up! I want to ask, did the people at the hot pot restaurant know that this tragedy was going to happen? If they had known it would happen, wouldn't they have tried to stop it? I believe everyone understands that no one wanted this tragedy to occur. But isn't it going a bit too far to vent your anger on the restaurant manager and other staff members? Can I interpret this as some people taking advantage of the chaos to stir up trouble just to satisfy their own selfish desires?

Just when I thought this incident was shocking enough to shatter my worldview, what happened next left me even more dumbfounded.

Some fans actually went to the local police station spontaneously, holding up banners and loudhailers, demanding an explanation from the police! I want to ask, do you know what kind of behavior this is? Calling it disturbing public order is putting it lightly! In the worst case, it's illegal assembly! Despite repeated warnings from the police, you showed no remorse and still acted as you pleased!

Is this still the behavior that fans of a positive-energy artist should exhibit?

And that's not all. In the streets of various places in Beijing, several waves of people appeared marching in the avenues. What does this mean?

I believe I don't need to spell it out; you can search the internet yourselves to understand the nature of such behavior.

Although Su Bai remains the victim, I still cannot help but ask Su Bai from afar: Previously, you repeatedly told everyone that people should not take matters into their own hands to avoid being labeled as toxic fandom behavior.

Then let me ask you, what kind of behavior is this from your fans right now? Does a single person getting hurt mean the people of the entire country have to pay the price for you? If the police hadn't stopped it in time, would this terrifying behavior of yours have spread across the entire country?

Is this the magnanimity a cultural promotion ambassador should have? Is this the breadth of mind a music producer sought after by countless singers should possess? Is this how a public figure should behave?

Now, I, Xiaochuan, strongly demand that the Douyin platform and CCTV media permanently ban such an artist with malicious behavior and hold him legally accountable!

I take full responsibility for my words and deeds. Anyone with any doubts is welcome to come and find me!!!

Whoosh~~~

An explosive mega-earthquake erupted across the entire internet!!!

What did this mean?

Had Su Bai really committed such crimes, as Xiaochuan Entertainment claimed?

Was this still the Su Bai they adored?

One second, Su Bai was still a victim and an artist adored by countless people. The next second, he had turned into a heinous criminal who had committed monstrous sins?

Why did it turn out like this?

No one understood why things had evolved to this point!

As soon as Xiaochuan Entertainment's video media was released, it was reposted by countless people. For a moment, the entire internet fell!

More and more people began to join the ranks of denouncing Su Bai.

Meanwhile, Yang Mimi was having a fierce argument with her agency team at her company!

Yang Mimi roared furiously, "Take a look at what those people on the internet are talking nonsense about!"

"Anyone with clear eyes can see that someone is taking advantage of the situation to make trouble in Su Bai's name!"

"What's wrong with us speaking out to support Su Bai?"

"Isn't this the behavior our artists should have?"

"Do you expect me to sit idly by and watch my good friend be framed?"

Amy looked at Yang Mimi with an expression bordering on pleading.

"Mimi, can we please not be willful?"

"Your actions represent the voice of all Jay Walk."

"You also know how intense the skepticism toward Su Bai is on the internet right now. Once Jay Walk gets involved in this storm, just how massive a blow will it suffer?"

"Furthermore, this behavior of yours is a breach of contract. If Jay Walk becomes unhappy, they can unilaterally terminate the contract, and by then, you will be saddled with sky-high compensation!"

"The losses simply outweigh the gains!"

"I know you trust Su Bai and support him, but let's support him behind the scenes!"

"Any connections we can find, we will help him find them to calm down this online noise, okay?"

"But you absolutely must not make any public statement!"

"The fallout would just be way too huge!"

After Amy finished speaking, the entire management team representing Jay Walk echoed her sentiments. They were all bitterly pleading with Yang Mimi, terrified that an impulsive move on her part might do something foolish and genuinely implicate Jay Walk Media.

There was no helping it. As the top star of Jay Walk, Yang Mimi and her protégé practically held up half the sky for the company. Even the boss of Jay Walk spoke to Yang Mimi very politely when they met, after all, they depended on Yang Mimi to make money!

Yet right now, Yang Mimi seemed completely unimpressed by this rhetoric!

"Have you people ever considered that you know very well Su Bai is being wronged? Once Su Bai's grievances are cleared up and his innocence is restored, as the entertainment company that stood by his side to support him..."

"How much support from the people of Great Xia will we receive?"

"Can we look beyond the immediate moment? Can we think a bit more long-term?"

"Besides, by then, all of Jay Walk will have gained Su Bai's friendship. With Su Bai's powerful influence, how much benefit will it bring to Jay Walk?"

"I won't promise anything else, but if we show our support for Su Bai..."

"Do you believe that the box office of *Sci-Fi World*, scheduled for release in a month, will at least quadruple?"

How could they not understand what Yang Mimi was saying? But they truly had no authority to make this decision.

"Mimi, we really can't make the call. Let's have the boss talk to you in person!"

Watching the management team leave, Yang Mimi slumped powerlessly onto the sofa.

They said they would have the boss talk to her, but how could she not understand what that meant?

The very reason they could come to her with such absolute certainty was precisely because they had received authorization from the boss!

Yang Mimi let out a cold snort, followed by a helpless, bitter laugh!
