Staring at the man seated in the driver's compartment, Su Bai wasted no words; he hurled the steel rod in his hand with sudden force. The steel rod flew like an arrow unleashed from a bow, smashing into the windshield with a resounding crash—the glass exploded instantly.

"Get the hell down here!" Su Bai’s eyes were bloodshot, veins bulging on his forehead, his whole demeanor that of a bloodthirsty beast.

When no one moved, Su Bai took a running start, leapt up, and kicked hard at the main driver's side window. The side glass shattered again, spraying fragments everywhere.

The people in the car were utterly terrified by the sudden assault, stunned by the steel rod. As the driver tried to raise his head, shards from the shattered glass cut his face, nearly piercing his throat. Su Bai grabbed him, yanking him out of the driver’s seat.

Before the driver could react, Su Bai delivered a fierce kick to his chest, instantly rendering him powerless. He lay on the ground, unable to move even a finger.

Su Bai then lifted his gaze, coldly fixing his stare on the front passenger. His voice was hoarse and rough: "I told you to get out!"

The driver behind them, witnessing Su Bai’s ferocity, was dumbstruck. He’d originally feared Su Bai might suffer, but now realized his worries had been misplaced. Yet he remained wary of the men in the other car, suspecting someone might be armed.

He called out, "Here, brother!" and tossed another steel rod toward Su Bai, who caught it in one hand, then strode toward the passenger side. He hadn’t tried opening the rear doors, fearing he might accidentally harm Yang Mengke or Liu Ruotong. Only by forcing everyone out of the car could Su Bai act freely.

As he passed in front of the vehicle, Su Bai drove the steel rod into the front tire with a sharp thrust. With a loud bang, the tire burst.

Withdrawing the rod, Su Bai pointed it at the passenger again: "Get out, or I’ll drag you out myself!"

The passenger, faced with Su Bai’s menacing steel rod, felt as if a gun was pressed to his head and his limbs refused to obey. Trembling, he tried to open the car door, but no matter what he did, it wouldn’t budge. At the same time, he cursed inwardly, "Who said he’s just a singer, easy to deal with? You try handling him yourselves!"

"Three, two, one! Damn it, you’re not getting out, huh?"

With that, Su Bai braced himself on the hood and leapt up, landing atop the car. Before the passenger could respond, a steel rod stabbed straight through his shoulder.

"Ah!" The man screamed like a slaughtered pig.

Su Bai pulled out the rod, its tip now slick with blood, and pressed it against the man’s throat. His voice was icy: "I’ll ask only once—where are the two girls?"

Feeling the sting at his neck, the man stammered, "Back... back seat. Don’t... don’t kill me, we just deliver... deliver people, don’t know anything else!"

Before he finished, Su Bai struck his neck with a swift hand chop, knocking him out cold. He pressed the unlock button, then strode step by step toward the rear of the car.

Inside, the man hiding in the back seat gripped a dagger tightly, his back pressed against two stunningly beautiful women. Only he knew the torment he’d suffered in this time. If not for the boss's orders—that no one was to touch the girls until their purpose was achieved—he would have acted long ago. He’d mingled in these circles for years and seen many beautiful women, but never ones as exquisite as these two, especially the slightly older one. She was simply unparalleled.

When their car was forced to a halt and the others were swiftly dealt with, he immediately pressed the dagger to the older woman's throat, planning to use her as leverage should his teammates fail. But his mind was torn with indecision; if the intruder didn’t care about the woman, he’d lose all bargaining power, exposed and helpless.

His heart wavered—should he use the woman as a hostage or not? At the moment the car lock clicked open, his heart skipped a beat. He knew the intruder had arrived.

As the door swung open, impulse overcame reason. He lunged with his dagger toward the newcomer, aiming for the neck—but panic seized him. This was supposed to be a kidnapping, not a murder.

"Ah!" he screamed in terror, yet his dagger still moved forward. At the instant it should have pierced the intruder’s neck, he felt his wrist clamped by a tremendous force, unable to advance even a millimeter.

He looked up and saw his target—the very person they’d come for! Wasn’t this man supposed to be a singer? How could this be?

The next second, he was yanked bodily from the car. To prevent any mishap, Su Bai stomped down hard, shattering the man's wrist.

Another scream echoed, pig-like in its agony. It wasn’t that Su Bai was cruel; he would have preferred mercy. But the lessons of the past had taught him that mercy to an enemy was cruelty to oneself. Last time, his mercy had cost him his company, nearly burned Yang Mengke alive. Since then, the word "mercy" had ceased to exist in Su Bai's heart.

Annoyed by the noise, Su Bai kicked the man's neck, silencing him instantly. Then, Su Bai leaned back into the car.

He saw Yang Mengke and Liu Ruotong, both with swollen eyes, tears hanging at the corners. His heart was stabbed with pain yet again.

Since the last incident with Mengke, Su Bai had sworn never to let her come to harm again. Yet, only days later, she was frightened like this once more. Su Bai could not forgive himself.

"Mengke, I’m sorry. This is my fault. I let you suffer," he said, removing the towel from Yang Mengke’s mouth and untying her.

"Brother, I’m scared, wuwuwu..." Yang Mengke threw herself into Su Bai’s arms.

Su Bai comfortingly patted her back, then gently said, "Let me untie Liu Ruotong first."

As soon as Liu Ruotong’s ropes were undone, she too could no longer hold back, collapsing into Su Bai’s embrace.

Watching the two girls cry in his arms, Su Bai was at a loss. Even when facing the three criminals earlier, he’d felt no panic. But now, with these two girls clinging to him in their distress, he had no idea what to do, so he simply patted their backs gently and murmured, "It’s all right, it’s all right, it’s over."

A long time passed before the three finally emerged from the car. As they stepped out, Su Bai shielded Yang Mengke and Liu Ruotong behind him, his voice cold: "Mengke, you and Ruotong get back in the car."

Because around them, seven or eight burly men had formed a tight ring. Su Bai could sense that these men’s physical prowess far surpassed the three he’d just dealt with. Especially among them, on the outskirts of the group, stood a middle-aged man radiating a dangerous aura.
