Chapter 154 You Really Are a Good Person
Luo Chen looked at the round-faced girl’s shy expression, then glanced at the unbranded, coverless hardcover notebook, and suddenly felt a sense of impending doom. He recalled how another unfamiliar girl had approached him in the middle of the road with that exact same expression when asking for his autograph, and even the notebook's exterior looked nearly identical.
Just how many copies of that beret-wearing girl's sketchbooks had been printed anyway? Luo Chen couldn't shake the feeling that every single girl on campus seemed to know about it.
Still, Luo Chen forced himself to bite the bullet and sign his name on the cover. A notebook was a notebook, after all. Fortunately, the drawings weren't too scandalous, and the only ones looking at them were girls. He figured he would just play dumb to avoid the embarrassment.
After handing the signed notebook back to the round-faced girl and seeing her ecstatic expression, Luo Chen finally understood how those celebrities felt after being subjected to his eccentric antics.
It was a miracle he was still alive and hadn't been assassinated by a hired killer yet.
Fortunately, the girls hadn't forgotten that there was another living soul present. After receiving their blessings and autographs, one of the sweet-looking girls, egged on by her best friends, stepped forward, hesitated for a moment, and softly asked Li Hua, "Um, excuse me, you're Li Hua, right? Could I ask a favor?"
"Is it finally my turn? Forget one favor, ten of them wouldn't be a problem!" Li Hua, whose worldview had just been shattered, suddenly came back to life like he had been injected with adrenaline. He patted his chest and assured her. To think it was actually going in order! Why didn't anyone say so earlier? It had almost made him doubt the meaning of life.
"Great, you really are a nice guy! Then I'll leave it to you!"
The three girls simultaneously handed their phones over to Li Hua. Since they now had someone to take pictures, it was the perfect opportunity for a group photo.
After much commotion, Luo Chen finally breathed a sigh of relief once he had sent off the satisfied fans along with the completely broken Li Hua. Luckily, most students had already gone home; otherwise, if a riot had broken out, he wouldn't have been able to leave today at all.
Maybe next time he should just wear a hat or sunglasses...
......
"Xixi, I'm heading back first..."
Inside the classroom, Dai Xinhua tidied up her backpack, grabbed her drawing board, called out to her best friend Zhao Xixi, and hurriedly left the room.
Zhao Xixi watched Dai Xinhua's retreating figure and let out a soft sigh. Her best friend was nowhere to be found the moment school ended every day, and Zhao Xixi could more or less guess where she went.
Hmph, what a friend who prioritized romance over friendship! She was even ditching her bestie...
However, Zhao Xixi hadn't expected that the almighty angel of the Stardust Platform would actually be her own classmate, Luo Chen, whom she somewhat knew. In the past, if she faced her favorite streamer, Zhao Xixi would have rushed right up to him.
Ever since she had seen the true face of the cute deity last time, though, Zhao Xixi hadn't known how to interact with Luo Chen, a streamer she also followed and liked.
Ruan Hongyi's actions last time had hit her hard. She never expected that the streamer she adored would secretly be that kind of person. She just hoped Luo Chen wasn't a bad guy like that; otherwise...
Zhao Xixi felt that she would definitely help her best friend take a kitchen knife to Luo Chen just to vent her hatred!
Yeah... exactly that!
After solidifying her resolve, Zhao Xixi's mood improved considerably. Humming an unknown tune, she packed up her belongings and quickly left the classroom.
"Great God! Great God! Wait up..."
On the campus grounds, Li Hua's shouts could be heard clearly from across half the hallway.
Great God? What great god?
Curious, Zhao Xixi followed the source of the voice and saw Li Hua standing breathlessly in front of Luo Chen, whispering something.
Naturally, Zhao Xixi knew that Luo Chen was the angel deity, so she hadn't paid it much mind. But just as she was about to ignore them, she spotted a few freshmen girls walking up to Luo Chen and exchanging words with him.
Then, to her indignation, Zhao Xixi saw a cute, round-faced girl with a slight blush give Luo Chen a hug.
Could this so-called streamer with the surname Luo be deliberately taking advantage of female fans under the guise of his popularity as a well-known streamer?
Though suspicious, Zhao Xixi didn't step forward to expose him right then and there. Instead, she patiently waited until Luo Chen finished taking photos with his fans and they left, before marching up to him, gritting her teeth, and saying:
"Luo Chen, is the fan club meeting finally over?"
Having just sent off the psychologically traumatized Li Hua, Luo Chen was about to leave when he unexpectedly saw Zhao Xixi approaching him head-on.
"Zhao Xixi? What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to catch someone red-handed on Xinhua's behalf, hmph." Zhao Xixi glared resentfully at Luo Chen, then accused him, "I never expected you bigshot streamers to be this kind of person—handing out hugs and body contact to your female fans... It's just too despicable!"
Zhao Xixi cast a complex glance at Luo Chen. Come to think of it, she was also one of Luo Chen's female fans—a hardcore one at that—which was why she felt so displeased. Coupled with seeing a scene identical to the last time, Zhao Xixi couldn't help but vent her dissatisfaction onto Luo Chen.
"You've got it all wrong. Actually, I was the passive one here, alright? Besides, it wouldn't be right to just turn down the small requests of my fans, would it?" Faced with Zhao Xixi's judgmental gaze, Luo Chen bitterly shrugged. Just now, he had been completely at the mercy of those girls, acting merely as a photo backdrop.
If anyone was getting the short end of the stick, it was definitely him.
Zhao Xixi thought back and realized that Luo Chen indeed hadn't made a move earlier; the hug was purely instigated by the round-faced girl herself. But during the group photo afterward, Luo Chen clearly could have refused—he was obviously enjoying it way too much!
"Hmph, you dare say you weren't secretly thrilled? Female fans and all..."
"I wasn't..."
Although Luo Chen didn't quite understand why Zhao Xixi was inexplicably throwing a tantrum at him, he figured that considering an enraged Zhao Xixi might actually come after him with a kitchen knife, it was safer to tell a little white lie.
"You weren't... really?" Zhao Xixi stared straight into Luo Chen's eyes for a long time. Eventually, unable to withstand the pressure, Luo Chen relented and spoke up again:
"Should, probably, maybe... there was a little bit?"
