The final match of the Urban Tournament—the moment that would decide the second Duel King!

Yuugi’s score: 1 point. Seto’s score: 1 point. Kaiba’s score: 0 points.

Without much preamble, Yuugi and Seto, two members of the Yuujia family, demonstrated remarkable synchronicity. As referee Isono announced the start of the match and both players shuffled their decks, they immediately launched into the duel.

“Duel!”

Yuugi: 4000 LP
Seto: 4000 LP

“My turn! Draw!”

Yuugi once again took the first move. After glancing at his starting hand, his initial moment of surprise gave way to a smile, as if he had stumbled upon something fortunate.

“You guys... seeing the arrival of the Giant Soldier, and knowing that the one dueling now is the true master they serve, is why you appeared so early, right?”

Within his mindscape, Yuugi looked at the miniature, adorably rendered Sky Dragon before him and teased gently.

“Hmm~”

Although Yuugi was not their true master—only by possessing the Millennium Eye could he command the three brothers during duels—his opponents had treated the trio respectfully. Even though he yearned to return them to their authentic master, the Nameless Pharaoh, the thought of parting ways with Yuugi filled him with bittersweet reluctance.

“All right, all right. Don’t forget, I have a proxy card that holds part of your divine power. Not to mention, the outcome of this duel is far from certain. If you want to return to him, it will depend on his skill!”

During their time together, Yuugi noticed that the anime versions of the Three Egyptian God Cards did not treat him with the same haughty arrogance depicted in the show or fan works. In duels, their relationship was akin to comrades-in-arms; in everyday life, more like equal friends. Apart from one occasion when he shared divine power with the system’s special edition of the Three Egyptian Gods, Yuugi had never used their strength outside of dueling.

“Hmm~”

That’s true. Even if they returned to their true master, as long as he remained connected to Yuugi, the three brothers could still see him.

And, don’t forget—they are gods! The Three Egyptian Gods! Whenever they wished, they could transfer divine power from their master to Yuugi’s deck, providing strength anytime, anywhere.

“Well then, enough talk. For now, let’s summon you.”

Exiting the mindscape, Yuugi immediately played a spell card:

“Quick-Play Spell ‘Photon Guidance’! Without paying any cost, I Special Summon a Level 4 or lower LIGHT attribute monster from my hand in face-up Attack Position. Arise! Apostle of the Sun God!”

Beneath the radiant wreath cast by the Four-Winged Angel, a brand-new monster named “Apostle of the Sun God” appeared on Yuugi’s field.

Clad in golden sacred armor, its upper face obscured by a hood resembling the head of the Sun God’s winged dragon, the figure truly embodied the aura of an apostle.

“Apostle of the Sun God... such a straightforward name! A devout servant of the Sun God.”

Seto analyzed the unfamiliar monster’s name and appearance.

“The Apostle’s effect activates! When this card is successfully Special Summoned, I may Special Summon up to two more monsters with the same name from my hand or deck. Arise! The second and third ‘Apostle of the Sun God’!”

Combining the Quick-Play Spell with the monster’s effect, Yuugi managed to gather all three tributes needed to summon an Egyptian God in his very first turn without expending a normal summon.

“Three Apostles of the Sun God, and all Special Summoned... No way!”

Seto’s bold guess emerged from his analysis, and Yuugi smiled, acknowledging the insight.

“Seto! This is the ‘No way’ you mentioned! At this instant, I expend my once-per-turn Normal Summon to Tribute the three ‘Apostle of the Sun God’ monsters on my field as materials for an Advanced Summon!”

Since the tribute summon required three identical monsters named “Apostle of the Sun God,” there was no doubt which monster Yuugi intended to summon—

“Roaring thunder shakes the heavens, soaring from the depths of the underworld, heralding judgment upon arrival! Behold! Sky Dragon of Osiris!”

The clear sky suddenly darkened with swirling clouds. Amidst flashes of golden lightning, a serpentine silhouette soared through the tempest. As the souls of the tributes ascended, the crimson dragon descended behind Yuugi.

The second Egyptian God—the Sky Dragon of Osiris—had arrived!

“St-St-Seto—!!!”

“The duel begins with the summoning of the second Egyptian God, following the Giant Soldier—the Sky Dragon of Osiris!”

“Truly worthy of President Yuugi! In the first turn, he nearly effortlessly assembled three tributes and brought a God to the field!”

“Now that the Sky Dragon and the Giant Soldier have appeared, will the last and most mysterious Egyptian God show itself in this final battle?”

“...”

Not only the spectators in the arena but also those watching the live broadcast from afar exchanged excited whispers about the second Egyptian God.

“Sky Dragon’s first ability! Its ATK and DEF are equal to 1000 times the number of cards in my hand!”

With the Quick-Play Spell ‘Photon Guidance,’ the Apostle of the Sun God, and the Sky Dragon itself, Yuugi still held three cards in his hand.

“Roar!!”

The Sky Dragon’s entire body radiated a crimson divine aura. Raising its head, it let out a mighty roar toward Seto.

“True master! Do you see? Do you see this power? The power of an Egyptian God! Embrace us three brothers once more!”

While the Sky Dragon rejoiced at demonstrating its might to its true master, Seto’s expression remained grave.

“Sky Dragon of Osiris... the second Egyptian God following the Giant Soldier!”

Looking down at his trembling hands and legs, Seto felt the overwhelming presence.

“Power surpassing all gods... divine oppression above mortals... a beast that shakes heaven and earth!”

Since he began playing cards, this was the first time Seto faced a being whose strength and aura far exceeded that of any ordinary duel monster.

In the anime, Seto first encountered a super monster during his duel with Kaiba in the Kingdom arc—the fusion evolution of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon: the Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon.

Then, in the Kingdom finals against Beck, Seto faced Beck’s personal ritual and fusion monsters—the Naga and Thousand-Eyes Naga.

Later, when helping Kaiba reclaim his company, Seto witnessed the Five God Dragons, the ace monsters of the five giants of Kaiba Entertainment.

Then, during his riverside duel with Malik, he saw the pinnacle of duel monsters—the Three Egyptian Gods—including the Sky Dragon, the second God Giant Soldier in the top four of the Urban Tournament, and finally the Winged Dragon controlled by Dark Malik in the final.

Yet, in all those moments, Seto either did not participate directly or only observed from the sidelines.

Now, facing such a transcendent entity for the first time in battle, his body trembled under the unparalleled might.

But one thing remained unchanged—he was Seto! He was the Nameless Pharaoh! After the initial tremor came the same excitement and thrill as Yuugi!

Supreme gods?

Though I, Seto, do not possess a monster like Kaiba’s Blue-Eyes White Dragon that can truly rival the Egyptian Gods, through my bond with my deck, I can still use ordinary cards to bring gods down from their thrones!

Second Egyptian God, Sky Dragon of Osiris, I, Seto, accept your challenge!
