134 Cannot think of a good title, so let's just duel!

"At the moment of battle, I activate the trap card 'Windstorm of Etaqua'! The battle positions of all face-up monsters on the opponent's field are changed!"

A giant black bird named "Etaqua" appeared, bowing its head toward the two fusion monsters on Yugi's side before flapping its massive wings to whip up a hurricane.

Under the onslaught of the gale, the two heroes, Wildedge and Sunrise, should have been forced to switch from attack to defense. Yet, they stood unmoved, looking like nothing had happened, and even tilted their heads to cast disdainful gazes at the giant bird.

Etaqua: ?

"I activate the counter-trap 'Trap Stun' during the battle! I negate and destroy any trap card activated by my opponent during the Battle Phase!"

Of the two cards set in the first turn, this last one was a Trap Stun specifically meant to intercept traps during the Battle Phase.

"Battle continues! Wildedge!"

With Yugi's trap negated, Wildedge drew his great blades and leapt in front of Beta. Amidst the opponent's panicked expression, he unleashed a direct slash, cleaving the monster in two!

"Wait! Magnet Warrior Beta has 1700 ATK, and Wildedge has 2600 ATK. The battle damage should only be 900 points, so why is it now...?"

Watching his Life Points drop by nearly 2000 in an instant, Yugi spoke in confusion. Although his Life Points had reached the terrifying height of 10,000 thanks to the quick-play spell "Mirror Magic," no amount of health could withstand such massive depletion!

"It's Sunrise's second effect."

Youyi explained. On the field, Wildedge, who remained after the attack, was no longer just surrounded by his own earthen brown aura; his blades were now coated with elemental energy of various colors.

"Sunrise's second effect: for every attribute present on my field, the attack power of all my monsters increases by 200 points for each attribute type!"

Currently, Youyi had "Solid Soldier" (FIRE, Defense), "Liquid Soldier" (WATER, Defense), "Wildedge" (EARTH, Attack), and the effect's owner, "Sunrise" (LIGHT).

With four different attributes, both Wildedge and Sunrise saw their power increase by 800 points!

"Now! Wildedge! Attack Yugi's second Magnet Warrior!"

"Nani! Shouldn't the normal attack be over already?"

Without restriction, a monster can only attack once per turn unless supported by other card effects... Wait! Could it be Wildedge's own ability!?

"Wildedge's effect! Within one Battle Phase, he can attack every monster the opponent controls once! Infinity Edge Slicer!!"

Following his own effect, Wildedge slashed through Yugi's Magnet Warrior Alpha, Magnet Warrior Gamma, and the cute Kuriboh one after another.

"Whoa! Attacking every single monster!"

"And that bull-headed hero can even boost his allies' power!"

"It seems that even with Life Points boosted to a terrifying 10,000, in the face of absolute power, it's only a matter of a few attacks!"

"Exactly! If one attack isn't enough, just attack a few more times!"

"..."

The audience, who had been shocked by Yugi's 10,000 Life Points, had all shifted their support to Youyi. If a monster's power is sufficient, no matter how high the Life Points are, they are just a target for more attacks! If you can't defeat the opponent, just keep fighting until they hit zero!

"Wildedge! First, take care of that face-down monster!"

Having dispatched three monsters in a row, Wildedge didn't even break a sweat, mostly because the opponent's monsters were all low-ATK creatures under 2000. Now, for his fourth attack, Youyi suddenly changed the order, telling Wildedge to ignore Kuriboh and target the face-down card instead.

Following the order, Wildedge approached the face-down monster. Looking at the card lying on its back, he raised his blade and drove it straight down!

A set monster's defense could not possibly exceed his 3400 ATK, so a direct strike should have finished it. However, this monster was different from the previous four; it was a creature that could not be destroyed when faced with overwhelming strength!

"I activate the effect of the effect monster 'Marauding Captain's nemesis, Spirit of the Fall Wind'! This card cannot be destroyed by battle with monsters that have 1900 or more ATK!"

It was the effect version of the "Spirit of the Fall Wind," a monster often used during the Duelist Kingdom era, jokingly called "Cannon Fodder Swordsman" by fans.

As it flipped up, the swordsman pulled out his blade to block Wildedge's thrust, then used a redirection technique to completely negate the attack.

"I didn't expect the last monster to be him..." Youyi chuckled and shook his head.

"Then Wildedge, attack Yugi's 'Kuriboh'!"

Since he couldn't destroy the effect-version swordsman by battle, he would deal with the other one. Under the cute, wide-eyed gaze of Kuriboh, Wildedge changed his attack style, reaching out to gently tap the monster's antennae, signaling its destruction.

"Bang! Bang!"

Two explosion sounds rang out—the sound effect of monsters being destroyed. But since only Kuriboh had been attacked, what was the other sound?

"What's going on? Kuriboh was destroyed by the attack, but why did the Spirit of the Fall Wind also..."

Watching the spirit explode on his field, Yugi was bewildered. The moment Kuriboh was destroyed, the Spirit of the Fall Wind followed suit, yet he hadn't seen Youyi activate any effects that destroy multiple monsters.

Youyi pointed to Sunrise on his field and said, "Sunrise's final effect: once per turn, when an 'Elemental HERO' monster I control declares an attack, I can select one card on the field and destroy it."

"The Spirit of the Fall Wind may be immune to destruction by high-ATK monsters, but it was never said it couldn't be destroyed by card effects!"

Yugi: "..."

He hadn't expected this red bull-headed hero to possess so many powerful effects.

"Now! Sunrise! Deliver the finishing blow to Yugi!"

After Wildedge's five attacks, Yugi's Life Points had dropped to 4400. If Sunrise's iron fist landed, it would give Youyi a massive advantage, bringing Yugi's health to a dangerous 1100 LP!

Following his master's order, Sunrise flew toward Yugi. As his massive fist came within a meter of the opponent, and just as it seemed he would deal massive damage, ripples appeared in the void before Yugi, forcing Sunrise to halt his attack.

"The effect of the trap card 'Mirage Ruler'!"

As Yugi activated another set card, the three Magnet Warrior brothers, the cute Kuriboh, and the Spirit of the Fall Wind—all destroyed by Wildedge and Sunrise—resurrected from Yugi's Graveyard! His Life Points also returned to the terrifying 10,000 they had been before the battle began!

"Like a mirage... during the Battle Phase of the opponent's turn, after all monsters on my field are destroyed, I can use this card's effect to return those destroyed monsters to my field before the Battle Phase ends! My Life Points also return to the 10,000 I had before the battle. However, as the cost for successfully activating this effect, after reviving those monsters, my Life Points decrease by 1000."

"Whoa! What an amazing card!"

"Not only did it revive all the destroyed monsters, but it also negated all battle damage, all for just 1000 Life Points!"

In other words, after the activation of 'Mirage Ruler', Youyi's entire wave of attacks had been rendered almost useless, costing Yugi only 1000 Life Points.

"The monsters were revived by a trap effect, but they only returned to the state they were in before the battle! Therefore, the Magnet Warrior brothers are still in Attack Position! Sunrise! Attack the 'Magnet Warrior' with the lowest ATK!"

The monsters had returned, but the Battle Phase wasn't over. After a replay, Sunrise changed his target to the 1400 ATK Alpha.

"I end my Battle Phase. Following that, I activate the spell card 'Pot of Greed' to draw two cards!"

Using the Pot of Greed gained from Liquid Soldier's effect, Youyi drew two cards that couldn't be used this turn.

"I set two cards and end my turn."

Leaving Fusion and Miracle Fusion set, Youyi concluded his turn.
