Chapter 140: The Conclusion of the Duel City, A New Chapter Begins!

"Uh... The Winged Dragon of Ra's second ability... really is peculiar!"
"Indeed!"
"In my opinion, rather than calling it 'The Winged Dragon of Ra', it would be more fitting to call it 'The Winged Zombie Bird of Ra', don't you all think?"
"..."
The Winged Dragon of Ra launched three consecutive waves of attacks, with the latter two being revivals straight from the graveyard. Such a spectacle left the spectators outside the arena utterly stunned, with some even suggesting it should just be renamed the "Zombie Bird."

"The Winged Dragon of Ra! Third attack! God Blaze Cannon!!"

With no cards in hand, no second card on the field other than the Winged Dragon, and no resources with usable effects in the graveyard, one could say that this third wave of attacks was Yugi's absolute last resort! If this attack still failed to wipe out Yuanyi's Life Points, then in the next turn, it would very likely be Yuanyi wiping out his remaining ten thousand-plus Life Points!

"My final defensive measure! Banishing the Effect Monster 'Necro Gardna' from my graveyard! Negating this attack by The Winged Dragon of Ra!"

This was the graveyard monster frequently used by the protagonist "Judai Yuki" in the second-generation anime, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. Sent to the graveyard from the hand by the effects of Liquid Soldier earlier, it was now being used by Yuanyi as his ultimate defensive line!

"As expected! A true Duelist can work miracles!"

Enduring the Sun God's attacks three times in a row, especially against damage amounting to over ten thousand points—such a feat could probably only be described as "a miracle brought forth by a true Duelist!"
That Duelist who had defeated him in the past truly lived up to his name!

"Turn... ends."

At this point, all of Yugi's options were completely exhausted. If he wanted to make any further plays, he would have to wait until the draw phase of his next turn.

"My turn, draw!"

Glancing at the card he had just drawn, Yuanyi did not rush to make a play, but instead looked across at Yugi and said:

"Yugi, you are the most terrifying opponent I have ever faced in a duel! Therefore, in this coming turn, I will use all my power to defeat you!!"

"Come on, Yuanyi-kun!"

Rather than simply winning the match, Yugi was far more eager to witness just how far Yuanyi's ultimate, all-out strength could reach!

"Spell Card: 'A Hero Lives'! Since I control no monsters, I pay half my Life Points to Special Summon 'Elemental HERO Bubbleman' from my Deck!"

In the rules of Duel Monsters, Life Points have no decimals! Once an effect halves a player's Life Points—especially when the Life Points at that moment are an odd number—the halved total is rounded up!
In other words, the activation of A Hero Lives cost Yuanyi virtually nothing!

"Bubbleman's effect! When successfully Special Summoned, if there are no other cards on our field, I can draw two cards from my Deck!"

A flash of golden light streaked across the sky and vanished.
Yuanyi glanced at his hand, revealing a golden cup and a divine angel.

"Spell Card: 'The Ace of Cups'! Toss a coin! If it lands on heads, I draw two cards; if tails, my opponent draws two cards!"

Since his luck with the Angel's Charity-style dice rolls had been utterly abysmal earlier, this time the Cup was bound to bring phenomenal luck.

"Draw two more cards! And then, 'Graceful Charity'!"

Throughout the duel up to this point, the card-drawing magic spells had all been played by Yugi. Aside from drawing cards through Liquid Soldier's effect, Yuanyi hadn't activated a single Pot of Greed, Graceful Charity, or the like.

"Finally, 'Miracle Fusion'! Banish six HEROes in total from my graveyard as fusion materials: the LIGHT HERO 'Sunrise', the DARK HERO 'Necro Darkman', the EARTH HERO 'Core', the WIND HERO 'Avian', the WATER HERO 'Absolute Zero', and the FIRE HERO 'Blazeman'!"

By banishing Sunrise, Blazeman, Core, Absolute Zero, as well as Necro Darkman and Avian discarded by Graceful Charity—all of which were already resting in the graveyard—he performed a fusion using six HEROes of different attributes.
As for a Fusion Monster that used HEROes of all six attributes as fusion materials, Yuanyi currently had only one such card in his Deck—the very same custom-printed HERO he had summoned during the climax against the Big Five in the virtual world:

"Embodying all six elemental attributes, the absolute pinnacle among all HEROes! Fusion Summon—Elemental HERO God Immortal!"

This was the highest-level monster in Yuanyi's Deck—God Immortal!

"God Immortal's effect! When successfully Fusion Summoned, all banished cards belonging to both players are returned to their respective graveyards! Furthermore, among those returned cards, for every monster whose attribute matches God Immortal's, its power increases by 300 points! In addition, besides its own LIGHT attribute, God Immortal also possesses the other five attributes used as its fusion materials..."
On Yugi's side, there were only two "Ritual Devils" banished, providing a 600-point boost to God Immortal's power under the DARK attribute.
On Yuanyi's side, however, there were quite a few banished monsters:
Wildheart, King of the Swamp, Wildedge, Solid Soldier, Liquid Soldier, Sunrise, Absolute Zero, Blazeman, Core, Necro Darkman, and Avian.
Consequently, God Immortal's power surged to—

"Lastly, Equip Spell: 'Favorite Hero'! It can only be equipped to a 'HERO' monster of Level 5 or higher!"

Bolstered by the power of the classic monster Flame Wingman, God Immortal was now fearless and unstoppable!

"At the moment of battle, the effect of 'Favorite Hero' activates! Place the Field Spell 'Skyscraper' from my Deck into the Field Spell Zone and activate it! This triggers 'Favorite Hero's' other effect! While a Field Spell is active, the equipped monster God Immortal gains ATK equal to its own DEF!"

Amidst the classic towering skyscrapers, God Immortal, draped in a crimson cloak, stood atop the spire of a building, arms crossed over his chest, looking down condescendingly at Yugi across the field.
It resulted in precisely 100 points of excess overflow damage!

"It's over..."

As God Immortal dive-bombed toward Yugi, unleashing his ultimate attack, "God Elect," a match that had spanned ten chapters finally came to an end.
And so, as the Battle City drew to its close, a brand-new chapter was about to unfold!
