Chapter 123: Assigning Work

Aduo hesitated for a moment, then finally gave a firm nod. With no spare money to her name, finding work was a matter of urgent necessity.

"Go on then; I'll wait right here for your good news," Lu Ming said with a smile.

Aduo let out a long sigh and said, "Alright, Brother Lu, I'm going."

Lu Ming gave her an encouraging look. Aduo stood up and began walking toward the nearby Jiamei Supermarket. When she reached the entrance, she glanced at the recruitment notice posted on the door, then looked back at Lu Ming. He was sitting by the restaurant window, waving at her. With that, Aduo finally gathered her courage and stepped inside.

Watching her enter the supermarket, Lu Ming smiled. He had originally intended to go himself, speak with the store manager, and secure the position for her first. But then he reconsidered: Aduo had zero experience living in a big city and truly needed the practice. If he arranged everything for her, she would inevitably end up being taken advantage of later on. It was better to let her handle it herself and gain some experience; if things didn't work out, it wouldn't be too late for him to step in.
