Chapter 127: Almost Interrupted

Liang Min clearly realized that if these tags were to be implemented, it would be a massive undertaking for her marketing department—a task that would, in all likelihood, irritate their suppliers.

"You really know how to give us a hard time."

"You can't look at it that way. If these tags are actually used in subsequent monitoring, they will undoubtedly provide a massive boost to the success rate of product promotions. When that happens, your performance reviews and bonuses will be a breeze!"

Liao Yingying, having transferred from the marketing department herself, knew exactly how to handle Liang Min’s current grumbling by hitting the nail on the head.

As expected, Liang Min’s expression softened considerably at these words. However, she still had a few requirements:

"Fine. But regarding the sheer volume of product data, which specific pieces do you need? It would be best if your operations team could provide a detailed list so we can communicate it to the suppliers effectively, don't you think?"

"This..." Liao Yingying cast a quick glance at Chen Xujia, and the two exchanged looks. "Alright, leave that to us. As for when we can provide the specific metrics..."

Since the detailed product analysis was mostly handled by Team Two, Liao Yingying didn't have a clear sense of how much time the task would take.

"Give us a week."

Chen Xujia calculated the timeline in her head and followed up on Liao Yingying’s lead.

"A week... that means I’ll have the report on the 7th." Liang Min began to do the math in her head. "But if that’s the case, it will be very difficult to collect all the data before the sale begins. You know as well as I do that there are quite a few brands under the women's apparel category. Is there any way you can get it to me sooner?"

Lin Luyou silently crunched the numbers as well. If they couldn't submit the product information requiring updates to the marketing department until the 7th, they would only have four days left.

In such a short window, they would have to notify every single supplier and explain the reasoning behind these changes. By the time the suppliers filled out all the forms and sent them back, the Double Eleven grand sale would likely be almost over.

However... if they rushed their own analysis time just to catch the Double Eleven window, that didn't seem right either. Lin Luyou glanced cautiously at Chen Xujia, fearing she might agree to shorten the timeline.

"That probably won't be possible," Chen Xujia insisted. "Most of our colleagues are already tied up with other projects, and pulling people in at the last minute won't yield significant results. If they can't get the reports in before Double Eleven, perhaps we should just aim for the Double Twelve? The promotional intensity for the Double Twelve is quite significant as well."

"Double Twelve? That would give us plenty of time."

Liang Min exchanged views with her colleagues and agreed to the plan.

The leads discussed the finer details for a while longer and finally reached a consensus, urged on by the colleagues waiting to use the conference room next.

On their way back to their desks, Chen Xujia suddenly asked, "How is it? Are you able to follow what we’re saying? Can you keep up with the pace?"

Lin Luyou was just about to share her thoughts when she heard Zhao Mian reply, sounding as "reluctant" as ever:

"It's fine."

Having spent half the day together, the group had grown accustomed to his reticent nature. The fact that he gave them the courtesy of two words rather than ignoring them entirely was already enough to satisfy them.

Lin Luyou pressed her lips together and listened quietly as Chen Xujia continued a one-sided conversation with Zhao Mian, thinking to herself how lucky she was to have hesitated for a second; otherwise, it would have been quite awkward.
