Chapter 032: Definitely Real Brothers
At this moment, Chen Danling finished her tasks and chimed in, “No problem, just hand me your work badge, and I’ll bring it back for you later. You don’t have any dietary restrictions, right?”
“Right, right! Thank you, Sister Danling!”
Chen Danling’s simple act was indeed a great help to her, and Lin Luoyou clasped her hands together in gratitude.
Seeing Chen Danling take her work badge, Cheng Li tugged at the corner of her mouth and grabbed her bag to head downstairs for lunch.
As the people around gradually set aside their work to eat and refresh their minds, the conference room was left with only the sound of Lin Luoyou typing away on her keyboard.
“Phew!”
Thanks to her experience from yesterday, Lin Luoyou managed to finish six thousand entries in just the morning.
This was truly exhausting.
Lin Luoyou fished out the heart-shaped eye drops given to her by Jiang Xiaohan the night before, dripped two drops into her eyes, then slumped back in her chair to rest.
Chen Danling was quick. Lin Luoyou felt like she had barely waited when Chen Danling came back carrying a lunchbox:
“Here you go! I didn’t know what you liked, so I just ordered a couple of random dishes.”
Lin Luoyou took the lunchbox and glanced inside: there were both meat and vegetables, plus soup. This was anything but random!
“Alright, hurry and go eat, or it’ll get cold,” Chen Danling urged her outside before Lin Luoyou could say anything.
Lin Luoyou didn’t hesitate; after all, eating well was essential for having the energy to work in the afternoon.
While eating, Lin Luoyou finally found a moment to play with her phone. Scrolling through her social media feed, she remembered that in her two days at the job, she hadn’t posted anything to celebrate.
Looking down at the lunchbox that had been poked and prodded by her chopsticks into an unappetizing mess, she abandoned the idea of sharing her lunch.
But that didn’t stump her; she took off her work badge, found a flattering angle, and snapped a picture.
There was nothing more direct than sharing a work badge or a location update.
As soon as she posted the picture, numerous likes and comments poured in:
“Welcome, Luoyou!”
“Welcome!”
“Finally saw your post!”
Shortly after, Lin Luoyou received a private message from Tang Xiao:
“Look, this is your workspace! It’s all set up and right next to me!”
“I heard from Yingying that you’re making good progress over there; I can’t wait for you to officially join us!”
Encountering such a nice senior, Lin Luoyou quickly responded with a smile:
“I’m looking forward to it too! I’ll be asking the big shots for a chance to be a leg accessory!”
Exiting the private message, Lin Luoyou noticed that her post had gained dozens more comments. Familiar and unfamiliar faces alike congratulated her on her new job.
Even her brother, who had long been considered “missing,” surprisingly replied:
“It’s been a while; Luoyou is starting to work! But remember, even with your own income, feel free to swipe my card!”
Reading this, Lin Luming’s image vividly formed in her mind.
If her brother were right there, he would probably be ruffling her hair with one hand while thumping his chest with the other, proudly declaring: “See, this is my sister! She’s amazing! A top student from the finance department at A University! Now she’s joined Max!”
And he would definitely find a way to privately hand over his salary card, saying: “Here, keep this safe. Save your little paycheck. I don’t spend much in the army, and aside from what Mom and Dad give me, the rest is all for you!”
